L4 LAMP — OBJECT LEUCI

오브젝트 루시의 4번째 작업물인 L4 LAMP는 조명으로써 은은하고 편안한 공간 조성에 방향성을 두었다. 광원이 시선을 방해하지 않도록 연출함에 초점을 두었으며, 기어 방식을 통한 물리적인 디밍 장치로 사용자의 의도에 따른 광량 및 확산각을 동시에 설정할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 이 장치는 전면부의 핸들 및 스위치를 통해 제어할 수 있다. 이는 사용자에게 있어 시각적 매료에 이어, 미려한 촉각을 통한 직접적 통제권을 부여함으로써, 조명이라는 기능의 정체성, 오브제라는 장식의 정체성에 이은 제3의 정체성을 발현하여 사용자의 감각을 자극한다. 편리함의 추구가 아닌, 불편하지 않음을 중시하는 오브젝트 루시의 작업 의도, 그 방향이 L4 LAMP를 통해 사용자에게 결과물로써 다가가, 또 하나의 즐거움을 선사할 수 있기를 희망한다.

Object Leuci’s fourth work, L4 LAMP, focuses on creating a soft and comfortable space through lighting. The focus was on preventing the light source from interfering with the line of sight, and it was designed to simultaneously set the light quantity and diffusion angle according to the user’s intention using a physical dimming device using a gear method. The device can be controlled via the handle and switch on the front. This stimulates the user’s senses by giving the user direct control through visual fascination and a beautiful tactile sense, thereby expressing a third identity following the functional identity of lighting and the decorative identity of objects. We hope that the intention and direction of Object Leuci’s work, which focuses on not inconvenience rather than the pursuit of convenience, will be able to reach users as a result and provide another level of enjoyment through L4 LAMP.
